Beard Month #3

“Sweet!”

Here’s one that doesn’t actually like having facial hair, but has to deal with it anyway all throughout November, it’s Sharon Gail!

Sharon is arguably the face of The Meeting Place. It’s very easy to read her mood, but also easy to tell whenever she’s lying. She’s her school’s dodgeball champion. At The Meeting Place, she often heads to Ashling’s or The Superhero’s world to check out the new superhero movies, since they take place in actual time (she’s from 2005). She has died once and is very hopefull for me to make a video game about her, we’ll see how that goes. During her many adventures she has collected various magical items, some of which she has no idea what they do.

By the looks of things, I won’t be able to draw all characters by the end of November (but I’ll try), so I’ll just continue until all characters are done regardless.

Who’s next? Who knows.

Beard Month #2

Greenmushroom + beard

“This should do it, hopefully.”

As it turns out, there was an even simpler character to draw than Silver: Greenmushroom.

Greenmushroom, much like myself, likes to make many things. The difference is that he has mechanical skills where I only make stuff like board games and YouTube videos. Greenmushroom made a game, built a mech, and is currently working on teleports. He has a habit of thinking out loud, and anything more than three times his size makes him shake his metaphorical knees. He has a tendency to break the fourth wall, as does basically everyone else in his world (courtesy of the game he made, but that’s a long story).

Next up will probably be Sharon. No one is safe from the beards. No one.

Beard Month #1

Guh-reetings!

“Guh-reetings!”

Let’s kick off beard month with Silver. Figured I could start easy and then move on to the more difficult characters. I’ll also post soem trivia about each character as I post them.

Silver has had a slight wardrobe upgrade since his Flash-movie days. Makes sense as his wardrobe is based on mine. The saxophone made an appearance in the TNMC Christmas special. While the rest of the characters will basically be drawn in a similar way, this is actually how Silver appears in The Meeting Place, except a bit more 3D.

I actually tried out soem different hair styles, but nothing beat this classic.

Overall, I’m not too happy with how it ended up, but I’m using this month as practice for my drawing skills, so it’s all good.

Who will be drawn next? I have no idea, it’ll be a surprise for all of us.

What’s Happenin’

So, no activity for the past few months, oops.

I have been busy with various things, and I’m going to be busy with a lot of Zeldathon work.

However, this November I’ll be attempting a personal drawing challenge. You see, every November, Tristan likes to give everyone at The Meeting Place beards, and so I was thinking that I should draw everyone with and without beards, because I can. Probably.

So get excited for that, I suppose. It’s definitely going to be a challenge; I still have no idea how Fayte looks, let alone how she would look with a beard.

Update

Alright, so here’s the thing: I got a bunch of Zeldathon work that needs to be done before the start of the marathon, so for the rest of the month and a bit into June I will be focusing on that, meaning no more podcast episodes or stories until then. In the meantime, why not ask some questions I can relay to the crew when the next episode swings around?

Until next time!

Podcastin’

Alright, I can’t actually believe writing is happening!

The third part of the TMP Podcast was just released, check it out right here.

It took a while to write down because of me being busy with Zeldathon work and other life things (and of course the bane of everyone’s existance: procrastination). Expect the fourth episode to take a while, partly due to it’s going to be longer, and partly because I will have much more Zeldathon work to do. Especially the closer to the marathon it gets.

But for now, enjoy the thing and stuff.

Until next time!

Not Foolin’

An update?! On April Fools?! WHAT

’tis indeed true. I had this idea for an interesting story lately where I could bring you up to speed for The Meeting Place while also being entertaining. Cue “TMP: The Podcast: The Transcript”, the text of a podcast where the audio is unavailable to upload to the internet for reasons. Get the latest news from The Meeting Place from the people themselves as they spend 10-15 minutes talking to themselves.

This is something I should be able to do fairly often due to the simple format, and you guys can help coming up with themes and questions, too!

Until next time!

Welcome 2016

Hey look, it’s a new year and I haven’t posted since… um…

Anyway…

I hope that for this year there will be more stuff released. By this, I mean not just actually posting stuff, but also going past stories. I have many exciting projects in the works (like Rocks Fall and a bunch of RPGs).

While I will probably fail weekly updates, I’m at least going to TRY and keep the one guy who visits the site up to date, and maybe one day I will have two people visiting the site. That’d be exciting.

But yeah, there’ll probably be a Rocks Fall update later this month as the cards arrive, but for now: have a great 2016!

Weekly Update #6

Oh hey look, I totally forgot about making the update! It only took me 6 weeks. Not too bad though.

Still not many updates, at least not for any major projects, but here goes:

*Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies: You can now help out with art! It only took a huge while, but now it’s finally ready! On the technical part of the game, I have been revising the rulebook to make it easier to understand. I have been adding more images to the cards too, now bringing the progress to 12/84 cards done.

*I have been updating the facts documents even more. It’s so much text, but I guess it’ll help with things in the future. I just dread the part where I have to start writing timelines for all the characters, too.

*And finally the story: I had hit a snag in the latest chapter, so I had the guy whose universe it’s set in have a read through it to see if he could help me. The story should be back on track again.

And that’s all for this week. Maybe I should switch the day of when I post the updates to Sundays instead? On the other hand, I’m normally fairly busy on Sundays, so probably not.

Until next time!

Rocks Fall, Everyone Dance

Woop! After so much waiting, you can now help out my board game Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies. I’m going to need a bunch of character art for the prototype so it’ll look pretty when I try to send it in to AEG. I’d really appreciate your help =)

Click here for more information, or find Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies under the project tab.
